If they do this and it’s below 70 I’m going to left lane and stay side by side blocking every road

So the government, safety and a whole load of other agencies want speed limiters. OK fine, lets do speed limiters. How about we do 55 mph.
All these organizations, agencies and other groups want to slow down trucks, yet see no need to slow down passenger and other light vehicles, creating a serious safety problem. The same is also true for the work time for CMV drivers. Several groups have been pushing for a 40 hour work week.
While I know that no one will actually do this, but here goes.
Starting January 1 2023,
Do not drive on any high speed limit roads over 55 mph. Any roadways that are limited below that, please keep to the posted speed limit. Keep to the right 2 lanes and following distance appropriate for speed. If trucks stack up, well thats the way it goes.
Do not work more than 40 hours in any week. Take a full weekend, or approximately 54 hours of “off time” as that is usually what a weekend is. The truck doesn’t move for that time. Going to work just like the rest of the people. 5 days, 40 hours, two full days of rest and relaxation. Only fair, right. Just like that worker in the warehouse, shipping, receiving or other office.
Now the companies shipping and receiving things will not be very happy with that. Instead of getting things in as little as 10 or 12 hours, it may take a while longer. Guess they need to get used to that.Blue jeans, cke, Another Canadian driver and 4 others Thank this. -
Some of you may get mad when i share this, but it made me laugh.
A few months ago I was driving along, and the mouthpiece in the truck behind me was #####ing on the radio about my speed.
So after a good 10 minutes of his blubbering about me doing 96 I replied that if he learned to read he would have noticed those signs say 100 maximum, but no minimum. Well he kept complaining about my speed, so i said to him fine, you don't like me doing 96, I'll slow down.
So i slowed to about 88 or 89, he was going psycho on the radio, so i just turned it off.
I have a second radio and a different chanel to talk to my escorts on.
I called my escorts maybe 20 minutes later on our channel and told them where I was planning to stop at next.
They were laughing away as they had kept listening to him on Lad channel.
They said to me i better watch out because he was threatening me with violence now.
Well i pulled into a huge lot, but mouthpiece didn't even have the balls to stop, he drove on by.
Whine to me about my speed, I slow down, not speed up.Blue jeans, Siinman, AModelCat and 5 others Thank this. -

75k-80k lb, my little 10.8L don't pull real good below 66mph, @1600 in rolling hills.
If I were to comply & try to roll even a few mph slower by not getting a run at the hills of 70mph+ it will make driving my truck 0 fun..Blue jeans, Isafarmboy, cke and 3 others Thank this.
