What we need a limiter on is on the length of profane words on this website. I can figure out the 3 letter ###'s and the 4 letter ####'s but you dudes are blowing my mind with this ################ stuff. WT#?

This crap keeps getting intrduced and I fear will get passed at some point. It has been getting pushed by the good ole ATA as well as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The 4wheelers complain now about getting stuck behind 2 trucks doing the turtle race trying to pass. They ain't seen nuthin yet.

Well, then they'll just ban trucks from the left lane period....Last week traveling down I87 in New Yuck, between exits 20 & 19 was a Swifty in the left lane (2 lanes) that had traffic backed up for a few miles, refused to move over, even though he had plenty of opp to do so. Plus, stupid 4 wheelers didn't have the sense to go around him either, so it was backed up for miles. Yes, this is the stupidity out here now.....

No worries ladies and gentlemen. It's pretty easy to make your truck "show" that it is limited when plugged into, LOL.

So they'll change the national speed limit for trucks to 65 like how it used to be 55 way back when?

Enforcement will be easy because states will be writing tickets like crazy.

    Next up is hair testing!

Losing lots and lots of good drivers with these regs.

Speed limiters is going to happen. When, who knows. The FHWA has been pushing hard for this as well as the ATA. When this happens the 4 wheelers will make enough noise at being held up by trucks blocking the left lane with their turtle races that trucks may be restricted to the right lane only in many places. Congress is being lobbied to include this in the upcoming highway appropriations bill. And the truckers that will be affected by this will do nothing to stop it. Want to make some noise to try and stop it?
You can call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202)-224-3121 and they will connect you with your Senate and House reps.

    >FHWA

Care to remind those of us in the back what that means, again?

Also, I continue to maintain that I'm the best speed limiter my truck will ever have. It's way too easy to just go the right speed for the conditions IMHO
