SPEED LIMITERS PROPOSAL

I know Jersey didn’t raise it until the late ‘90’s. It was under Whitman and she made all 65mph zones double fines.

Are you serious,we need to take a sleep apnea test every 2 yrs?

 

No. The coalition would like the FMCSA to go back to requiring sleep tests for people with a higher BMI.

The real problem with sleep apnea test as I see it
First stop when they were requiring them for many people most of the walk-in clinics that were requiring them were extremely unscrupulous
While I never had a problem....or had it required
I knew many of my friends that were caught in that round robin....and then were demanded to wear CPAP machines
of course the CPAP machine had to be either purchased or rented through some other corporation....So that you had no choice but to use theirs so you have a way to document what you did
Also again in my opinion for what it’s worth
any of you or us that I’ve been on the road for any length of time....have extremely varied sleep patterns and in unfamiliar places....tend to not sleep terribly well due to the situation
So they bring you to a facility of some sort....hook you up to all kinds of machinery and tell you to go to sleep
I can tell you if it was me....I’m not gonna get a wink of sleep that night

Good Thing about the sleep apnea test racket is it will be a one time deal. Because the first time you will be told you fail and will given a cpap to use the rest of your life with a cdl.
