If you have daytime running lights it is usually better to leave the headlights on as many DRL use the high beam (at lower wattage, but the high beam pattern is more blinding), unless they have either separate lights or high-wattage running lights.

hmmm good to know--generally i just hit the down button in the am and leave it on till dark---maybe i will start using the button upwards in daytime
i just always assumed it was low beam being used---but when you think about it--that would be kind of useless

$5 the guys who shut their lights off in the scales are the same guys to bright light you to tell you to come back over when you pass them. I've got some 28v airplane landing lights my dad got from a relative that worked at Honeywell. Might have to install them to burn the eyes out of you bright light crowd.:yes2557:

you can buy much better and much brighter lights than aircraft lights---but for free i guess they might be good

Because 90% of the time, they don't have their radio on, or will ignore you if they do. The other 10% will tell you to F yourself, mind your own business, or worse.

some drivers have it in the head you have to be going very slowly across these scales, even the one on the freeway, It more the rookies, that the trainer pounded into there head, because there trainer did it to them. Ive got a prepass in my truck and get prepassed more than I get red lighted at highway speeds
