SPEEDCO is the best quick lube out there, even compared to the truck dealer.....whom I've had troubles with.

TA is hit or miss....mostly miss. They have a serious QC problem with their work.
Most of their techs are incompetent or act like they're hung over and brain dead from a late night boozing all over town.

Loves service seems to be a step up over any TA from my experience.

Neither. I bring my own oil (I always have 10 gallons of Schaeffer Oil in the side box) and have Housby Mack Trucks in Des Moines do mine. They have the Donaldson filters I like. Speedco does not do ala carte oil changes where I can use my oil. They will do it, but they will still charge me for their oil even if I don't use theirs. They only do complete oil change pricing. T/A will do ala carte oil changes and does an ok job the couple of times I used them because I couldn't get to Housby when I wanted. But T/A is notorious for over tightening oil filters. Played hell trying to get the filters off that last time I had T/A do it.

But I only have a quick oil change done. I do all my own greasing. I don't trust anyone with that. But I am getting older and it is just more convenient and time saving to have a shop like Housby do a quick drop and change of the oil and filters. I don't have to take care of the used oil. And they let me stay in the shop and supervise the change.
