Speedco in council bluffs gave me an " attitude " last summer ( not the first time) and they finally lost my business for good .
Christ I could get my lube work done at Cummins for 500.00 lol.
These corporate shops are hell bent on running off what was once loyal customers.
I like sapps but they are so sloowwww.
I've shifted my lube work but to my company shop .

That's just insane. I guess that means I won't go back either. I've never been a big fan of Speedco anyway. Always trying to upsell you on everything they can think of. The last time I went to a Wingfoot and got a PM done it was around 325 if I remember correctly . Only problem is they are really slow and usually an hour wait to get in. I'll swing by and what it costs now.

Take your old oil to pep boys. If they have a shop -they will take your old oil. I
Have been doing my own PMs for years. Parts last longer when you grease them yourself. Maybe the reason why they want to charge more is... because they want to grease everything right :D:):p

A fumoto valve makes it way more convenient. I like the quality way better than the cheap ones they sell at the Truckstop. It’s made in Japan and comes with a locking tab and drain hose for a couple bucks extra.

now as far as the oil dumping, that’s a good question I’m still trying to figure that one out lol ... I give some to my father in law, and got the rest laying around in 5 gallon buckets lol

I don’t like them valves. If you hit something/ someone :) on the road you’re going to need at least tow/new oil pan if not a new Engine :sad2:.
It doesn’t take too long/not hard to take off the plug or put it back. Most of the time (harder) is spent on taking off filters (filling, putting them back). Takes time to properly grease truck/trailer.

Doing your own oil changes is a PITA, but at least it gets done right and you save some money, even if it’s just $50-$100. There are websites that will tell you where you can dispose of the used oil for free. 5 gallons is the usual max per location.

JonJon78, Swine hauler and mhyn Thank this.
