Think it was STexan, exactly, followed 1 at less than 1mph through lot. Then stopped at highway at stop sign. Could have entered highway but just set there waiting on imaginary traffic. Tinkering with their elog. By going soooo slow through truck stop and screwing everyone up behind them, probably got extra on drive line. Then when we finally get to the interstate they take off like they are shot out of a cannon. Look out everyone i'm coming down this ramp and cannot yield.

Eld is making drivers dumber.
And the whole industry slower.
And killing the solo driver otr career.
And I believe lowering driver pay. When it takes 2 drivers to team a load that pays the same as if it were a solo driver.villageidiot, Lepton1 and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
7:55, but I can't leave until 8:00. So by the time I reach the road its 8:00. If it's not yet, I'll go.

I think if a study were conducted, you'd find that about 98% of said truck stop speed demons are driving autos as well.

Roflmao!!!!!! @ myselfOldironfan, Sirscrapntruckalot, Bean Jr. and 1 other person Thank this. -
Look guys, ELDs are not the cause of this stupidity, stupidity is.
This crap has happened before, nothing new, but there is no one calling the idiots company and complaining or providing proof of what they are doing to them, which is why they are not doing a thing. Most accept it as trucking behavior.bzinger, Sirscrapntruckalot, Lepton1 and 4 others Thank this. -
I confronted a driver for doing this. He sped like he was going to run me down and he just parks nearby. So I went over there. We instantly argued but I kept it semi respectful. I’m not trying to be caught on video acting out. He was from former Yugoslavia and said that Americans don’t know how to drive and we wouldn’t make it in his native country. I wasn’t even driving. I was about to cross a parking lot on foot. So there you go. Some of them don’t even like it here. Cannot change that.Oldironfan, Kyle G., driverdriver and 1 other person Thank this.

As yes, eastern Europeans advising Americans on the superior quality of life and cultural nuances of their native home.
It does beg the question of why they decided to come to live in such a backward society that used to have some respect for the rule of law and basic civility. -
I agree, many of us would not know how to drive over there.
I was talking to one of my drivers at three am his time (he was somewhere out west) and as we were talking, someone in a tricked out truck came through the place just to wake people up with his straight pipes and his jakes on, someone threw something at the truck and nailed it, breaking the passenger window, the guy got out to see where it came from but no one was around outside their truck. He started to scream and actin really tough, I could hear him on the phone and he was about 200 feet from my driver's truck. In the morning there was talk about it at the fuel desk, the girl behind the counter said this idiot would go through the place at least once a week waking people up with his crap and she was happy someone did something about it.bzinger, Gearjammin' Penguin, Oldironfan and 3 others Thank this. -
I bet he thinks twice before doing that again.
bzinger and Oldironfan Thank this.
