I doubt there are any points associated with 4mph over in Ohio. On the handy dandy fine sheet the nice state patrol lady gave me last week there were three degrees of speeding, 0-9 over, 10-15 (maybe 19?) over, and then >15 (again, maybe 19) over. The middle one, 10-whatever is 2 points, so there isn't much below that, unless they give you 1 point. I'm new to the whole getting a ticket thing so I don't really understand how points are awarded.

I am from Ohio and that is the only state I will not speed in. I used to drive home when I was stationed in South Carolina and would speed in my car until I hit the Ohio boarder on I-77 and then I would set cruise control at the speed limit. Ohio Highway Patrol does not mess around.

I believe all of them will work with you. It's only a problem when you show a pattern of repeated problems. One minor speeding ticket won't hurt. When you get to 15 over that is considered a major violation. Something like that would hurt you.

OH use to be bad when the speed limit was 55. It seems they slacked up since then. MI and CA are the two states I remain well behaved. :)

When I applied to many companies after school the majority if not all of them said they would hire me.

Most of them stated as long as not more than 2-3 moving violations with 3-5 years you were good. Like these guys stated, do not worry unless you have been getting a ticket every year/multiple tickets a year.
