That reminds me of a guy here in Tampa FL that hated people talking on the phone while driving that he bought a cell phone jammer that blocked the signal of cars around him. He did it for two years until they tracked him down and the FCC fined him $48,000. Did he paid it? nobody knows.

in 2012 and 2013 I had speeding tickets(55mph zone flying at 67 and 69) in Shelby county and Fayette county on I-40 TN(20-25 east of Memphis). one was dismissed by local lawyer. I paid $300 and the second one was dismissed by myself. I can explain what I did but only by pm. I have that lawyer's phone number and if you need it let me know.

Hire an attorney and get it dismissed or reduced to a PBJ. You do NOT want any points on your MVR.

I've gotten a few speeding tickets in my personal vehicles while on home time. Expensive and I kick myself,.. but like they say,.. if you play be prepared to pay.

In Fla they call PBJ short for Probation Before Judgement. Keep your noze clean for 12 months and its like it never happened.

CDL holders in Fla can not take school to avoid points.

I have had a TN ticket reduced to improper equipment.....speedometer.
That is a non moving violation....0 points. Does not go on your PSP either in my case.

Always hire a lawyer for this typical situation.
Never assume that everything is kosher.
your home state may interpret your ticket totally different to TN. In other words...negatively.
TN will report the infraction to MI.
my take is hire a lawyer in TN. He should know how the TN courts work, hopefully to your advantage.
I've done this a couple of times.
Having to fight an out of state ticket.
I've also had some amusing wrinkles to the proceedings.
Never, ever just pay the ticket. Treat your CDL like gold. Yes, it's gonna cost you for the lawyer,
but that's life. Just run with it and hopefully it will work out to your advantage.
You might want to try Roadlaw.com
OOIDA recommend them. They have lawyers in every state .
    good luck.

Texas is the same way, CDL holder can't take traffic school. For tickets in a CMV, I can understand but tickets gotten in a private vehicle I don't see why you can't. I drive totally different in a truck vs a car.

It shouldn't be that way though. If I'm not subject to the laws of driving a commercial truck, then I shouldn't be subject to such restrictions.
