School says no issue but the companies may see it as one. 14 over is considered reckless. Before spending the money, call a few of the companies your interested in and see what they have to say about it. They may have a rule about the time on a ticket like that. Good luck!

School is right, it's no issue, they'll take your money and make sure you get a CDL.
As far as job prospects they will be bleak to say the least. Most companies worth their salt will want that to be 3 years old, if not 5.Skate-Board Thanks this. -
Have no fear....I had a few whoppers just at a year old...just be up front with companies. Helps if you live in a good area and perhaps right next to a carriers major account.

Thanks for the replies:
Contacted my top two companies and was advised by both not a major issue regarding MPH over limit as long as points associated did not add up to 6pt or more. Will continue to make my way down my list of companies tomorrow to prepare to accomplish my prehire applications.
Thanks Again for the advise....joseph1135 Thanks this. -
There are a few people who work at my (soon to be ex, inshallah) 1099 junk company because they have a 15+ speeding ticket less than 3 years old.
joseph1135 Thanks this. -
That completely depends on the state. Here in VA we have 70 mph limits and 80 is reckless. So in those area's 10 over can destroy you. In MA where I'm from you have to double a speed limit or hit 100 to get charged with reckless based on speed alone.joseph1135 Thanks this.
