Yeah I’m honestly not expecting it to get dismissed. I don’t know if I’d be better off just paying it and getting it taken care of so it’s not an outstanding issue going into school. This is my first ever violation. My record is clean. I learned my lesson after that one, no more speeding. Especially in construction zones...
Thank you.

As soon as you have a class start date, submit applications. The more applications the better. You'll get job offers contingent on successfully completing cdl school and having any required endorsements.

Traffic school works. Try that

If it was me,I would tell the prosecutor my intentions of being a trucker and what can he do to keep it off your record. Tell him your willing to pay a little extra to plead to a non-moving violation, I guarantee it would be cheaper than a lawyer. If he doesn't want to play ball, get an adjournment and then get a lawyer.

Just spoke with a lawyer. He said 50% of their clients are CDL drivers and what he recommended to me is paying the ticket and doing the online traffic school which is about 2 hours or so and the point will get knocked off my dmv record. He recommended that because he said it’s a 100% chance it will get the point removed while getting a lawyer has a smaller chance to get the case dismissed.

You'll be fine op just slow your roll. I got my cdl at 21 years old and had a 15 over on my license from when I was 19. Got hired no problem with a local food service company
