I do not yet have my permit. I will call the DMV and some other places tomorrow asking about the DD course, that would be amazing if it removes it from my record, although I have a feeling it will just remove the points from my license.=/ It's worth a shot though!

Yes most companies look at 3 years. The 18 over will no doubt hurt you. Be prepared for a lot of rejections, but you CAN get a job, maybe not the one you want right away, but you should be able to find something. Build experiance, stay clean then move on

A lot of companies won't touch you, I had a 19 over, got many rejections and 3 job offers

That's what I meant I also meant fmcsr, and not fmcsas, but due to no edit I just hoped you'd overlook that. I meant to say most big companies. I had to type and delete a lot in that post. Lol

Unless I get very very lucky. I will not be getting any job in food service, such as GFS, Sysco and jobs like that I am assuming? And once again barring luck, not getting anything local, I will probably be forced into OTR till that ticket is gone?

It's hard to say, where do you live? Find another private school, or community college. Foodservice companies bend their requirements sometimes. When they are desperate for drivers they lower their standards, if they have enough drivers to choose from it will be harder. Beverage companies are more work and less pay but easier to get. I got an offer from nestle water, but I passed on it. You can try pepsi, Coke, dr pepper. Also try small local companies. Think outside the box, not just trucking companies. I work for a small chain of stores, they own 2 trucks and I delivor product from their werehouse to their stores and customers. All local. Look into any type of company that has their own truck and needs a driver. Sometimes they are less strict than trucking companies.

By the way, my other offer was from YRC freight. But it was an on call position. On call 24/7/365. Would have to report to work within 2 hours of being called. Told them no thank you. That's not the life for me. The guy laughed at me. It could have paid off in a few years, but would have killed my family life.

I currently live in Hickory NC, seems to be a lot of possibilities in this area. i guess it all comes down to what I can get figured out tomorrow. If the ticket will get dismissed off my record if I take a DD ,and if not if this school will still take me, if it does not I will just have to find a company with in house training that is willing to take a risk on me and work with them till the ticket is gone. It's not what I want to do, but I put myself in this situation so I need to fix it! lol.. /sigh.

I don't know that area so I can't give you any specific suggestions. But someone will take you. You may find a good job right away, if not once you put in your time a lot of doors will open.

Sounds like you have a bit to follow up with from the suggestions above but doesn't seem hopeless... Focus on the things you can do and maybe contact a local lawyer that is up to speed on the local options to address this ticket at this point.
