I was going the speed of the last speed limit sign I saw. I simply wasn't paying enough attention to the signs which they teach a lot of. And it definitely taught me a valuable lesson. I still have a lot to learn but it's coming slowly. No excuses. But it definitely taught me to pay more attention to EVERYTHING around me.

Thanks for the reply. Brutal honesty is never a bad thing.

Federal Law states no moving violation on a CDL driver can be reduced to anything else. BUT, not all states go by this law. I can not answer your question but wanted to through that tidbit out there.

What if I currently only have my permit? Does that only apply for licensed CDL holders or permit holders as well? Thank you.

i do wish you well, let us know how it works out for you.

just for your information, once you are finally driving that big rig, cops are not as forgiving, as say in your personal vehicle.

    be safe.

    Wargames Thanks this.

I'm not really sure on that due to I'm only quoting what I was told by the state of Indiana when I got my last speeding ticket in my car but I had a CDL. I know there's going to be people that disagree with me but quoting what the state of Indiana told me.

what "could happen", is that say you take your road test, and you go get your CDL, and they do a check on you, find the infraction.

is it possible they will let it slide and give you your CDL?

    i dunno.

get the previous information mentioned earlier.

Melton will find out about it.
Where is your location; you need to have a backup plan in case Melton decides not to hire you. There's other flatbed companies that will still hire you, depending on where you live. Are you in North Carolina?
