Mabie someone else could chime in, but my understanding is that most companies look at a three year history. Put in an application and be honest with them. see what bites you get.
No, I mean like Lucky Letnikov's East Slobovian Moving and Storage and Freight Forwarding and Dispatching Company. Don't worry if you can't find them. They're everywhere in most big cities.. Their office will be a burner phone on a card table with one chair in some ghastly slum in Chicago, or Sacramento, or parts of the L.A. They'll pay you on 1099 but if you can keep your record clean it's a way back for you. Whatever you do don't pick up any more tickets.
15 over is reckless driving. Many companies won't hire with even one of those within 5 years. One driver on here had 12 fender benders and still found a decent job on Craigslist pulling reefers and hauling produce from California back to the East Coast. Craigslist and Facebook both have trucking pages so you probably can find a job on those. Probably be a small outfit running the roads and paying on 1099.
Some dump truck companies will hire you. Do a search for dump truck companies in your area and apply to all of them. Apply in person.
Thanks for the reply. They told me it wasn’t “reckless” unless it was 26 over. Is the criteria for reckless different when trucking companies look?
Trucking companies insurance companies class 15 or more over as reckless driving. ~ Hang in there though and you'll find work with that cdl.
