If the ticket is old enough, you can expunge your DMV record. In California, we call the Mandatory Action hotline in Sacramento. If you've satisfied all fines, fees and restitution, and it's like three years old, they'll just erase it from your record with no questions asked. You weren't charged with a misdemeanor were you?

Still shows up in a background check and got to say it should always show up on an MVR.

Doesn't matter if it's the only ticket you ever got, reckless is the worst when it comes to your MVR.The ticket has to be at least 3 yrs old.

I enjoy being on the road seeing different things. Even though I'm away from the family. As long as I'm Rollin and making money for them I'm ok with it.

Reckless driving looks really bad in Texas because a good attorney can plead down a 1st DUI to Reckless Driving or Obstructing Highway. Did you not hire an attorney? When I was younger and stupider I used to get some pretty bad tickets on my motorcycle, but my traffic attorney would end up getting it changed to a higher fine equipment violation.
Sounds counterintuitive, but I would rather pay an additional 400$ and have a clean mvr.

If you have a driving job now, hold on to it and cherish it. At least for another 2 years. Stay wherever youre at.

I would dare to say you're not correct about that, at least not in my state of California. I had an accident at fault, and a number of tickets from back in the day. We cleaned it up by purging the DMV record through Mandatory Action. I'm not sure if this is relevant to the OP's state of residence. But I can attest that this doesn't show up on my background check anymore. If the OP got a misdemeanor conviction, he needs to expunge it pursuant to his locale's relevant statutes. Maybe he can, maybe he can't, I don't know the specifics of where he lives.
