Basically according to Lockridge, the government wants to monitor O/O's.

I know . But speed limiters are just governors . EOBR's record everything the truck does . This has been an issue for over 30 years . http://www.ntsb.gov/speeches/rosenker/mvr070501.htm

    Right.
I am just concerned over what Lockridge has been discussing.

O/O's are by far more experienced than your typical comapny driver. But the government wants to lump us in this together.

I understand that o/o's want to run as fast as they want to run. but the 70's are over, smokey and the bandit was just a movie. Things have changed gentlemen!!! They are going to change even more, and you are going to change with them or go apply for a job as a greeter. You are not going to "tear up " the highway as in the past. Why would you want to? It's a wast of fuel and increases wear and tear on the truck. Besides, if we took care of the problems in the industry, we would not have the goverment involved

I don't "Tear up the Highway", I just like maintaining 68-70 mph and I don't need anyone looking in my cab while I drive. Smokey's always sitting on the shoulder or the medium strip anyways. Why do double the work and charge me for the experience?
