1995 378 with a 3406E. I replaced the sensor on the trans and swapped the gauge with another truck that I know worked. Any ides?

If there are vss codes logged the issue is between trans and ecm, does your cruise work? If you use Cat ET there is a speedo test that can be used to check the wiring signal from the ecm to the speedo head, when activated the speedo will read 55 mph.

Cruise does work. Maybe I will take it in and see if they can get a signal from ECM to speedo to try to narrow it down.

I might be a little late on this subject but I had the same problem. From the transmission harness it connects to another harness to the ecm. Mine rubbed through about midway where the clutch rod is. Check there also
