Speedometer lying

    Why couldn't it just be as simple as changing speedo gear in trans like the old cars...lol

    It's not really about speed, it's about accurate mileage I guess. For IFTA I have a dedicated route so the mileage is easily calculated but company keeps track of odometer, so that needs to be accurate, in my case.

    So now the speedometer is bouncing all over the place, sometimes it stays on a number, but most times it bounces. I thought it was due to the battery issue but now I have new batteries and new Alternator and the speedometer problem stayed. Not knowing exactly what I have yet, I did a little research and what I found is that I need to ohm out the sensor at my drive shaft, ohm out my wires from sensor to gauge and than ohm out my stepper motor, which has little gears so maybe those broke, I don't know. All I know is, this is a pain in the arse.
