The additives your new engine needs are added at the refinery.

I've had decent luck with Speedway diesel. The one on Neville Island Pa last December did put alot of water in my fuel tanks and a couple other people I knew has the same problem that same week. But that was the only time its ever happened to me

In IL, isn't every station required to blend a little of that bio garbage in?

Horrible experience with Michigan speedways, 0.5-1mpg less than TA. In TN it seemed allright

This is correct. It's a small difference when looked at on a tank by tank basis. But it's a very large difference when you look at it over the course of a year for a carrier with several trucks. And a huge difference when you look at it as a fuel chain selling hot fuel during the warm season.

Not sure about you east coast guys but 99.9% of the tanks are under ground here in the west so there is no way to sell fuel thats over 70 degrees.

I havent had any problem at Speedway...but imho..the key is the turnover at ANY given fuel stop.....the busy chains are constantly being refilled...while some of the smaller stops fuel may sit a long while

I believe this is correct. When I hauled diesel to Speedways in the Chicago area, we would always load the diesel into the compartment 1st, 85%. Then go to the bio rack and pump in 15% bio. I'm sure it was suppose to be done the other way around but I could be wrong, and that was at Kinder Morgan Argo. At BP it was a preblend. The load arm would pump in the bio 1st and then the diesel. Mobil stations back in the day only use to use 5% bio, not sure if that has changed. Phillips and Shell at one point didn't use bio at all, now they do in IL. It's always nice to run into a Quick Trip Station which still to this day don't use Bio, just #2 diesel.

Petro in Rochelle has two sets of pumps, they claim one set has blend and the other is straight #2. Haven't seen that anywhere else though.

I fuel almost exclusively at Speedway. I got a Speedway credit card and pay it off every month. It was better to me than a fuel card it does not cost me. I earn speedy points and use those points to get free fuel. And I have never had any problems with the quality of their product. The areas I run have truck fueling locations so easy in easy out, and staff are usually friendly and they usually will let me take a nap if I ask.
