Splitter valve on my 05 379 is leaking and needs to be changed, can that cause my fuel filter gauge to fluctuate? My fuel filter gauge moves quite a bit when shifting through gears, sort of as if with the movement of the diesel in my tanks. It moves more as I get closer to empty. Any ideas? TIA
splitter valve/fuel filter gauge?

Valve needs replaced. But also probably needs a sending unit also. The splitter won't affect the gauge like that. I have had the valve malfunction and fill one tank more than the other side.

Fuel filter gauge should be mechanical. If the splitter is allowing it to suck air on the supply side the gauge might fluctuate. If you have a fuel pressure gauge you might see it there also.

Sorry didn't see the filter part of the gauge . I still don't think that they are related. It is possible the gauge is electric, they changed in 05/06 not sure .

Splitter is return side not suction. If the tee on the suction is leaking that would be possible. They are at the same location. I don't recall having a suction tee leak but anything is possible.
