I'm not the only one that said something. You may need to read all of the thread before you bump your gums.

i have been through the scales with it and had no problem. i heard aboput the exception on a nascar forum that posted the exact law that allows it. i dont have it handy but its there. plus i was just at the races in laguna seca and saw many similar trailer setups. i saw the air tank under the rear axle and yeah that sux as the only way into my parking area at work is up and over a sidewalk. i do use lots of wood boards to jump the curb but thats scary heh. my biggest problem is the turning i will have to see if i can rig something to dump the valve from iside. mmm but if u dump it wont the air compressor just fill it back up again?

sorry reading back and response to the pic of trailer on low boy, i saw that too the reason he got pulled was cuz of the generater box. they considered that as part of the trailer and so yes that put him over legal length. apparently it appeared tp dot that it was built as part of the trailer. i have the same thing on mine but it is obvious that it was put in after the trailer was biult... i still wonder if i may have the same issue down the road ...but have been ok so far.

and yes i agree that the bridge length law should apply to all, i didnt buy the trailer i just drive it heh. im not sure why the exception was made but i wouldnt be surprised if it was due to revenue created at the track, and no you can not get a permit for this and the racing teams do not have permits either. i believe it also has something do with the fact its a "not for hire" rig so it can only be used for the team.

I don't see the difference of a generator or a cone on the front and rear like some car haulers have. I saw a 53 ft with cones on the front and rear, that's no different than a straight 57' trailer.

But then again, it is California.........
