I have a 2005 Peterbilt 387, doing a pre-trip I found a valve at the trailer brake hoses leaking. This valve I think a check valve? I have not found a direct replacement by the key word search I have done, it is straight through 1/2' FPT both sides. PXL_20231204_180809783.jpg PXL_20231204_180832126.jpg

Is this part of the truck the pigtail or the trailer?

This is part of the truck, it has a black plastic sleeve over the middle and it was just below the deck plate where the air line connects.

Just blew up the pic, it is a Norgreen fast brake valve

It’s a service line quick release to allow trailer brakes to release faster. IMG_6240.png

That valve, I believe, should only exhaust air when you take you foot off the pedal after a brake application.
It helps exhaust air out to let your brakes release quicker after applying them.
If it leaks constantly, you are getting feedback somehow through the air system.
Most likely a brake can leaking.

This was on the supply line red hose, it was leaking with the tractor and trailer brake vaves pushed in, no brake pedal application. Your comment points to a trailer spring brake issue?

Have you pulled this trailer before?

If it's on the red side and leaks when released, it's bad. Some trucks have them on supply and service side, but usually only service
