I have a 2005 Peterbilt 387, doing a pre-trip I found a valve at the trailer brake hoses leaking. This valve I think a check valve? I have not found a direct replacement by the key word search I have done, it is straight through 1/2' FPT both sides.

Is this part of the truck the pigtail or the trailer?
-
This is part of the truck, it has a black plastic sleeve over the middle and it was just below the deck plate where the air line connects.
-
Just blew up the pic, it is a Norgreen fast brake valve
-
It’s a service line quick release to allow trailer brakes to release faster.
Bean Jr., Big Road Skateboard and JB7 Thank this. -
That valve, I believe, should only exhaust air when you take you foot off the pedal after a brake application.
It helps exhaust air out to let your brakes release quicker after applying them.
If it leaks constantly, you are getting feedback somehow through the air system.
Most likely a brake can leaking.Bean Jr., Big Road Skateboard and JB7 Thank this. -
