sprint data service question who has sprint?

Funny. Everyone has a contract.

 

100% wrong. You have the option to renew the old plan, they try to upgrade your plan, but you do not have To. I have been on the same unlimited everything plan with sprint for six years, just confirmed I can renew again for the same plan For same price, two phones $150 a month. Good service, fast 4g lte

 

Also wrong, you do not have to renew your contract, after two years you go month to month, most people renew to get a discount on a new phone, but if you pay full price for new phone or do not get a new phone then you do not have a contract. I personally renew my old contract every two years, To upgrade my phone and my plan does not change

 

Sprint sucks for otr!!!!

 

Have you tried it recently. After they upgraded the network the service improved a lot. I am not OTR but i have traveled quite a bit with my phone and rarely lose service, even in very rural areas. Not as good as verizon yet, but better than pretty much everyone else

 

I switched from Verizon to Sprint 15 years ago because of roaming issues, I just switched from Sprint to Verizon last month because of roaming issues. I was having big problems all of a sudden west of I35 ultimately ending up with my data shut off 4 days into the month for excessive roaming. I had unlimited data with Sprint but they only let you data roam for 1/2 gig before they shut it off. I have Verizon now with 10 gigs of data and two phones for about 10 dollars less than Sprint was charging me and have no more roaming issues. My Sprint phone all of a sudden was useless out west.

 

I am still with sprint. I been with sprint over 10 yrs. I switch my air card to Verizon, because sprint air card sucks. I feel like I'm in a abusive relationship with sprint. Everytime my contract is up, I keep running back. I'm switching my phones in April. I rather pay a little more money with Verizon. The jet pack is the bomb!!!

 

I was a long term Sprint user for years. Started with Nextel and became a Sprint user after the buy out.

I was extremely happy then because Nextel service was hit or miss at best. I didnt travel much so I was very happy with Sprint.

Once I started going over the road,.. thats when I found the true nature of Sprints coverage area. I had a Sprint phone up until June of this year.

I was so distraught over Sprints lack of service, coverage area and poor and virtually no LTE,.. only 4g and most of the time it was 1x at best,.. when there was a signal. That was mainly in the mid west and north west states. There is a 250 mi section of i90 from Montana to Tacoma Wa that there simply is no Sprint coverage,.. total dead zone. Verizon and carriers piggy backing on Verizon's towers are the only ones with service in that area.

Anyway,.. I cant praise Verizon enough. I bought 4 phones and 30gb of data back in January and was immediately rewarded with fantastic signal quality, coverage area and service. I had BOTH phones to compare coverage areas and signal quality with up until Jun of this year.

Yes, I pay more for Verizon. No argument there. If your looking for cheap and dont care about coverage area and service quality,.. stay with Sprint. If you want the best of the best, Verizon is the OTR truckers best friend. I'd say on average,.. any signal with Verizon,.. even out west is typically a good solid LTE signal. That means you pretty much have data that will surpass the internet speeds that most people have at home. Price,.. I pay $265ish (My wife knows the bill more then I do) a month for 4 phones with unlimited everything and 30 gb data. Wifi Hot spot is included in the data plan.

I never used AT&T or T-Moile,.. so I cant say anything good or bad there.

But from me to anyone with more common sense then a rain drop,.. Verizon > Sprint.

There will be a person who will come here and argue this,.. to those who dont understand,.. there is a thread here in this section where we compare signal quality and data rates in the same area's. He claims his Verizon phone is lacking compared to Sprint. Yet I went to the same places and pretty much annihilated his Sprint connection. I dont want to get pee pee contest going,.. so I wont mention names. But its all there for anyone to read and compare Sprint vs Verizon with proof to back it up.

I've been with Sprint for over 5 years, I've been totally happy. I left AT&T because they were awful.

Verizon has the largest area in the U.S, but I've never really not been able to use my Sprint phone. Even data coverage has surprised me.customer service is great, too.

 

Hurst, a lot of it depends on the device you use, and if you've updated your PRL, but at worst the voice service should have worked. Sprint has a cross carrier roaming agreement with Verizon. If it wasn't pulling signal from those Verizon towers, something was wrong.

Verizon by me is nonexistent, but I get in some rural areas around MN and that's I'm pulling Verizon regularly.
