I had Sprint for over a year back in like 08-09. I found a way out of the contract becausr coverage sucked in NE, WY, I59 Texas.

Anyway i have had Verizon since and get great coverage. Verizon has pretty well ticked me off by doing away with unlimited data, or requiring me to pay full price for a new phone to keep it. My contract is up sonetime after the new year. Not sure I want to drop $350-$500 a piece on two new smart phones. Oh and I'm ticked, did mention I'm ticked.

Considering Spring again since they still offer unlimited data.
Curious how Sprint service is now. I won't be out west anymore. I will probably only be running I80 PA & NJ, I95 NJ, turnpike IL, IN, & OH, and pretty much anywhere in Ohio., I81&I84 PA, I will almost only travel interstates.

What should I expect for service voice&data? Or Should I suck it up and drop the cash and stay with Verizon.

I know there are a ton of similar threads, but this one is MINE. :)

    PLEASE BE CONSTRUCTIVE!

when i was on the east side back in 2000. sprint had coverage EVERYWHERE on the east side.

i have verzion now. from what i've experienced on the east side. it hasn't been as good as sprint was 12 years ago.

i'm all about the value of a buck. and i just don't feel it with verizons HIGHER monthly fees. i certainly don't see the GREAT coverage everyone brags about. and i most defenitly haven't been happy with the phone.

i'll be more then likely switching back to sprint BEFORE my contract expires. and possibly just keep my phone as a wifi hotspot only for areas i can't connect with sprint. save a few dollars for what i'm paying now with just the phone for limited services.

i've been with sprint my whole life of having a cell phone. i've been with verizon 1 year only and have regretted ever switching. but though i would stick it out just to see what everyone brags about.

i'm still waiting to see what all the brag is about.

I had Cingular from 03-07 when the merger screwed up service, they upgraded our phones free trying to improve service and it didn't help. I called the same lady everyday for over a month complaining about the service with a liatcof dropped calls where we previously had service. The air card was worse. After over a month I woke to no service, called they said "X" canceled your service. :). A warning would gave been nice. We were going to go with Verizon, but couldn't get into a store so sprint was it. Spring was fine until we changed jobs and running areas. No Qualcomm or cell service isn't good in case of breakdowns.

We've had good luck with Verizon, although we have thunderbolt phones and 4G screws data up at times. I use more data than minute, although that is likely to change next year.

Might be unlimited Data but hardly any 4gLTE. Would be a deal breaker for me.

I think I had better data before 4g our phones constantly kick un and out of 4g. Our phones go 4g to nothing usually. Honestly it may be because we have the thunderbolt which is an early 4g. I miss my Motorola Droid.

I have issues in some places, it does seem to be getting better.

I think 6 mos to 1 year from now it'll be pretty solid due to..
Technology advancing not faster just more robust I think. And better coverage (4gLTE).

Having been with Verizon for a while now, can't beat Surfing the Intarwebs and listening to the Nagging Wife at the Same time on LTE.
Yes, I know ATT Customers have been able to do it for years on 3g.

    I have a Droid Bionic.
Wanted to get the Thunderbolt so bad when it came out but wasn't elegible (sp?)for Upgrade.I got my Bionic just in time before they made this new Rule.

I wanted the bionic, but needed a new battery for the Droid so I dropped another $50 and got a new phone. Thunderbolt battery sucks, have to have extended battery. I'm not impressed with this thunderbolt. I can talk and surf though on 4g. I'm rooted which helped the phone especially by removing bloatware. I may or may bot WiFi tether. I use approx 10gig of data a month last time I checked.

i have the droid bionic. biggest mistake i ever purchased.

as for lack of sprint 4glte. gots to give it time. they were dumb for rolling out wimax in the first place. i'm sure they are kicking themselves in the butt. but it'll get better.

    What's wrong with your Bionic?

My first Android was a Mot Citrus...and those 2 aren''t even comparable...I'm quite happy with the Bionic.
