Could be a bad tune. If your're running an external speaker, wrap the excess wire around the speaker case. That will cure it sometimes.
-
Who tuned it?
-
bought it off ebay. like a dummy. i have no idea who tuned it or converted it.I am taking it to a shop soon as i get a chance.

What squeals?
The speaker or the transmit signal itself? -
Usually just getting the external speaker farther away from the mic cures it if it's just a feedback issue, which is what I'm assuming it is with a General Lee. A good noise cancelling mic and set the talkback volume right and slide that speaker away from the mic. Should be able to make it work.

the speaker is three ft away and i have a good mic. its somethin in the radio.
