    If you have any old Road King 56 microphones laying around you might want to keep them because you will wish you had one when you get your new ham radio

    Nope will keep them for life i like the RK56 like the shape the weight actually like everythings about it!

    My Electro Voice 602T is the only microphone that comes close to the intelligibility and fidelity of that road king microphone. Fortunately those are in good Supply on eBay

    Even the moderately priced Shure 577b is a dud[​IMG]

    Just found one on ebay 15$ kinda cheap for that quality....but you have to be able to change the connector to benefit the thing.

    Might buy one, friend of mine has the knowledge to do the work.

    I bought a refurbished original RK56 at Bob's CB a few months back. Pretty much the only mic I use now, beating out even the CR-577.

    But expensive compared to the cheap Chinese garbage they sell in the truck stops though
