it's the best mic available out here has been for quite awhile.. I'm done playing with mics it's a waste of time and hard earned $$$ looking for something better....have the right antenna stud mount coax amphenol connectors time to hook up the new 4600 turbo--- hook back up the 8 pill and let it rock.......

Can the receiving radio or external speaker even reproduce it though? It seems like a high-fidelity frequency range compared to the others, but would it even matter in this context?

My new radio is coming with one. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

@rabbiporkchop , did you ever get your Ranger mic in ? Last I read you order one. Been about a month, just curious on your thoughts since your man Mark gives his approval.

I have heard Mark say on one of his videos that "if you cant use any mic on a radio and have it sound good, then the tune is bad". Then I've heard him say in a different video. "this mic doesnt sound good, let me get 'ol trusty".....he tuned both radios.....so what gives?

Sounding good and fully modulating the carrier are two different things. Without a scope it would be impossible to know where the negative peaks are. Every microphone should sound great. Only one will fully modulate the carrier if it's set up for one specific mic. Every Mic has a different output level and impedance.
