If I recall correctly, Trans Am also has the reputation of swapping trailers and repowering their loads.

From what I understand, some drivers don't mind it at all, while others absolutely hate it.

Nothing wrong with forced dispatch. Trucking companies are in business to make money, not babysit drivers.

Ok. The story first. I was driving cement trucks two years ago. I was let go from that 02/09/2016. The plant manager had a habit of lying. Also he was the type to make homosexual jokes and poke fun at your weight. I put up with that for 5 years as a prison guard and even told him that he couldn't have handled that job as he would've been killed for flapping his jaws. He also didn't really care for safety and got pissed because I red tagged my truck for a multitude of problems. I also hate automatic trannys and he didn't want me keeping my assigned truck. The day came where I smashed my ladder against a tree to keep from hitting a car. He and the district manager had some kind of relationship apparently because even the dm was a putz toward me. I was let go because they said I didn't improve and apparently had a multitude of complaints against me that I never knew about. No skin off my nose. I had a job the next week.

If you want my first oilfield experience, look up Take 2 Transport Pros and Cons. The second one after that was a company called H5. He was a mouthy SOB who liked hersey and would NOT back his drivers. Let go mother's day weekend. The another called F&M Transportation who violated FMLA and jacked me out of well over $600. Then finally Tegra Energy who held me up for over a week. I almost died August 13th due to a jack knife from all of the stress involved. Finally get back on the road and make one load before the a/c explodes in 101° weather. Someone brushed my trailer and they blamed me though I wasn't there to see it. Returning to the yard and the U-joint breaks and severes an air line. I'm stuck on the highway until a sheriff calls a wrecker cos the company took too long and I was placed on call block. Evicted 2 weeks later.

    Now we're here.

As far as forced dispatch I'll tell you a secret. Many companies will say they're not. But you'd better take any and all of them if you have the hours or you're shoved to the bottom and sitting.

Hey there. SRT does have direct deposit. You simply bring them in a Voided check and they'll hand you a form to fill out. Your pay period is Monday-Sunday. Pay is weekly. Per diem is mandatory for the first 90 days then you can opt out if you wish. Its usually 3 cents of your pay. It also helps to have X on your CDL as I do. They pay a few cents more. If you don't have it, they'll help you obtain it. There is also a safety bonus for watching safety videos. The fleet is 10 speeds and some automatics. Hope that answers it.

I've got to say @Voodoo Pyg you are pretty interesting, and not in a bad way. I never was brave enough to work the oilfield or drive a mixer truck, haha. Mostly ltl freight for the bulk of my driving history. Okay the first 3 years was otr.

Well thank you. I have to say I'm actually happy to be back out. Seen horrendous reviews for these guys. But the thing is they seem like a starter/second chance company which is what I needed. Hey @Chinatown you care to chime in buddy?

Gotta be better than Carolina cargo at least, probably pays better plus you are solo versus running team. Put in a year then plenty of doors will open.
