I realize it is old school but I have had very good luck with Cobra 148s and Uniden Grant LT cb radios. They are both regular cb radios but have very good receive.

Sometimes one can find a refurbished cobra 148 or uniden grant xl or LT on eBay from a reputable technician.

I'm not sure which one of his customers was being serviced at the time but I see lots of distortion in that waveform.
He shared that picture on Facebook trying to convince people it was a perfect waveform.Another Canadian driver and slim6596 Thank this. -
Looks like he’s using an old 5 or 10 mhz scope. Not to say thats a problem, since he’s probably tapping of a rf demodulator/am detector. I guess i just assumed after several years in the tech bussiness, that they would have upgraded their equipment at some point. Not really sure why these guys push the limit as far as modulation goes. Maybe its at the customers request to be loud & proud?

Did you notice the upper half is larger than the lower half? Something is drastically wrong. Both sidebands should be mirror images of each other.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
