Perfect timing for such a project, I’ll bet the engineers and CEO and investors are crying with this company. Air travel is down about 86% and not expected to increase for the foreeeable future. In fact the entire airline industry is on the verge of going “bye-bye” to the point that if we get control of the virus and things return to normal there will be a shortage of available airlines.... Most Americans say even after the virus, they don’t plan to travel much for a very long time. This virus has really changed peoples mentality

what's it gonna cost to fly that POS..???
all airlines are losing money, and those yoko's wanna start up again..??
i see a very short future...hope not too many people lose money in stocks this time with them. -

What killed SSTs the first time was the OPERATING COSTS and economics at the time, not to mention the NIMBYs were worried about noise(in particular from sonic booms)!’. Concorde lost money on every flight but it was subsidized by both the British and French governments. The Russian Tupolev TU-144 only operated a handful of of passenger flights (most of the flights by the plane handled mail) before technical issues and accidents made the Russians pull it out of service prematurely. We all know what happened with our SST project which, had it gone thru, would’ve probably paid for itself as the design proposals presented by Boeing,Lockheed & McDonnell Douglas were capable of carrying more passengers and cargo than both the Concorde and “Charger”.

Someone thought the Airbus A380 was a good idea too.
mjd4277 Thanks this.
