I quit star at the end of Jan, becuase I was never at home and they screwed my pay at every chance they got. Also they no longer hire trucker school grads. Stay far far away from them is my advice.

Also, I drove a big rig in the Army for years, did not get cdl until sep 2012, went straight to star, got f$%ed from day one. Who ever
is running that company , I heard its covenant, is running it in the ground. Also covenant is supposed to be Christian???? What happened to treat others as you would treat youself???? Blaspheme much??? -

im with star now you are absolutely right about them and their pay scale they will dip into your pay check without informing you or getting your permission. my trk broke down on me and it was down for over a week the dealership got mad a star because they were telling them how to do their job so the dealership told me since star wouldn't stop bugging them about my truck they were going to take their time I got mad because they were affecting my money then the dealership found everything wrong with my trk when I got my trk I was loosing 4 gallon oil a week I told star several times but when my clutch went out the dealership found a crack in my oil pan from front to back star tried to claim I did that and they dropped my pay scale when I complained about it and I could prove that I did not crack my oil pan all of a sudden they lost the paper work on why my check was docked. it took me 3 months to get back my 600 for something I did not do because everytime I put my trk in shop I put on paper I was loosing 4 gallon oil a week. star was claiming I cracked my oil pan that was impossible for the time frame I had that truck before the dealership fixed my trk was keeping 10 gallons of oil on side of trk and 5 under bunk. if I was near or close to yard I had to go by to fill my oil jugs up
