I've noticed their lot is full of brand new blue Kenworth T680s. Somebody told me they all say Swift on the side. Also the driver application on this page brings me to a Swift webpage; http://www.startransport.com/Drivers.html . Anybody know the story behind all of this or what is going on?

Star has been struggling for sometime. At least the people for the most part will stay employed. Swift has gotten better over the years, not the same company anymore.

This is the red Star from Morton IL, not that Star. The good I can see from this is they are getting new trucks and getting rid of their run down equipment. I wonder if Swift will keep the CAT accounts?

Tis true: just spoke to the recruiter who did not seem to be happy nor eager to talk, "I persisted". Recruiter did not know how long the 65mph cruise speed would last now that they are under Swift; whether or not the trucks would have A.P.Us, the current idle policy, if Pre Pass or EZ pass would be operable, if the trucks are using Bendix braking, Vorad collision or Iteris lane change warnings....... ......... .............
Medical benefits may start after 90 days of employment however the terms are sketchy. Last, Recruiter mentioned that Star Transport has a high CSA Scorecard due to past problems; also says it (score) is dropping fast but I doubt it. Again, the Recruiter did not sound happy, enthusiastic or to pleased at all. One other thing Recruiter mentioned was, that the trucks are 9 speed, raised roof double bunk new KW T680s. This one is a tough call being that it is now in take over transition....
