I'll probably be skateboarding here in the near future so it's been interesting reading about the this side of the world. I do miss the physical activity. Glad to hear it's going well for ya Rev.

Looking at making a change, eh? It'll definitely be different for ya, but I expect you'll like it. Got some companies in mind you're looking at? West Coast area, or is she about done with law school?

We're looking at moving up to Portland in July, she'll be starting law school in the fall. I'm probably gonna go with COTC on the quad fleet. Home every weekend making around what I'm making now. That was the hardest part, is finding places worth working that pay me what I'm making now. I miss the physical activity from football so I think I'll like it too. If not, well, god I thing it's not the only type of trucking.

Well, good. Sounds like ya got a plan! You'll enjoy the weekends home, & I'm sure she'll appreciate it!

Yep, plenty of physical stuff in it. Just gotta pay attention to what you're doing & don't get in too big of a hurry. Easy to get hurt if ya don't respect the equipment. But you probably already know all that.

I like having at least an idea of what I'm gonna be doing, not trying to find a job right after I get out there.

As far as the equipment, yeah you most definitely have to respect something that can end you in the blink of an eye. I remember during training picking up a load of water in Maine, I was getting out of the truck with three points of contact and put my foot on the ground, only to have it slip back on me on ice. My face almost went straight into the fuel tank. Dodged a bullet there.

Yep. And I really didn't feel like dealing with workman comp.

Just rolling along. Things are going fine. Requested to be off tomorrow for a family thing this weekend. Figured I'd go home empty with a load assignment to be picked up Monday. However, actually picked up a load 45 miles from home that is to be delivered Monday AM in Paducah, KY. So, I didn't miss out on as many miles as I thought I might. Worked out nicely! Heck, I even parked the truck for the weekend at 3:30pm today. Not bad at all!

Wondering where you have been hiding at haven't heard anything out of you. I am glad things are good.
