Start carrying a passport in the southwest

Sometime; in some locations and situations, it is not that simple. Probably a few on this forum could give you chapter and verse.

 

You don't have any desire to visit other countries? Do you ever take any vacations?

How did you get around the world without passport? Military?

 

Navy.

then hitch hiking in the 70's to Canada and Mexico.

drove truck into Eastern Canada, weekly, the first 17 yrs as a OTR driver

 

I'm eight years older than you are and every time I went to a foreign country I either got dysentery, a dermal fungal infection, or little people that I didn't even know kept trying to kill me.
For me, a foreign country is now anything east of Sparks, or maybe Winnemucca if the rate is good.

and Europeans don't bath much or have a/c. nope nope

 

Imagine having to prove your identity to travel within your own country. The 100 mile rule is a travesty.
