I got my cdl in 1998 and you did not need to have the permit before truck driving school. You should call them and
find out.Even if you don't need it before you get there. It will still be a lot easier if you all ready have it. Also get all
the endorsements haz-mat, doubles/triples and tanker.You
may switch jobs later and if you all ready have all them. You
will get more job offers.Good Luck

raylazyboy, it depends on the shool whether or not you have to have a permit prior to attending school....we require it. Example...tech schools do not usually require it but most private schools do.

Hey guys, I've just been made aware that our idle bonus has been reinstated. It is paid every 4 weeks and yes 40% or less is the number to strive for. As Spanky said...idle only when necessary like during sleep time or for extended periods in the truck when the temps are too hot or too cold. Otherwise let the windows down and let the breeze freshen your truck.
Zangief Thanks this. -
Thanks for the information MrG

That should give you a real leg up on the training bd. Have fun out on the road this week!

I'm glad winter is over because my bunk htr worked about 2% of the time, lol. I had it looked at 3 times but no fix. Maybe I can work on that bonus now. Woot woot

Come on down to Central Texas, Bear 63. It's supposed to be a high of 95 tomorrow. Won't need the bunk heater, but the a/c would be a definite need. Unless you enjoy the baked potatoe feeling. I don't desire to be miserably cold, but the heat can get stifling.

Hey bd! Glad you have family to give you a bit of time behind the wheel. I'd like to get some time in myself. I passed the physical. Have known the doc for almost 30 years. Seems everyone keeps trying to find ways to keep me in my present (not for long) occupation. lol

I submitted an application online about a week ago and have been working with Fay to get things processed. I talked to her today and asked if there was any chance I could get into the 4/25 class if I could get all my paperwork to her tomorrow and she said it's possible.
I'm going to put it together and I'm scheduled to get my DOT physical tomorrow morning too. 'Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to get into this class.
All you Millis drivers may already know this, but I just have to say it...Fay ROCKS!!! She has been terrific to work with!
