Hey L.B. The next time your in the area stop by and introduce yourself. We always enjoy meeting all you guys. I like to put a face with the name. Yesterday for home work I started a trip plan on a three stop delivery. Giong to Brattleboro VT then to Chesterfield NH and then on to Piscataway NJ. It's a lot more involved then it looks. Stay safe out there.

I will if I can get up there. I don't actually get to cartersville much. I did get to meet some guys from the class before you but that was because my truck was getting worked on in the shop.

Hey Buddy, Well let me give you an update. Yesterday and today we practiced our backing. So far we've started our Driver Side Parallel and Alley Dock backing and Straight Line Backing. Gatta tell you I started off having problems with the easiest of them all. The straight line backing. I finally did get it but I was the last person to be able to do it like it should be done. We're all about the same when it comes to all the backing. There are a couple that seem to get it in the hole easier them some but all in all we're all right there. I have no worry's we all will pass this part of the course. We have bob tailed a little. Now that were doing our pre trip inspections there is a trailor hooked to it so when ever we go out we'll be towing it. Greg our trainer really does have a lot of pationes with us.(my spell check is having to work over time because it cant figure out what I'm trying to spell) The time is flying by. I cant believe we're all ready into our second week. I'll post more as it happens.

Great info Old School, sounds like things are going well. How are things being out in the cold all day? Just patients and practice will help you get through all of this. It's not a race, its a destination! Get the job done as safely as possible. Good luck and Be Safe!

As you will always hear, things will come to you eventually. Take your time and don't rush it on the shifting, ie double-clutching, shifting, etc... Slow time and take your time.

Boomer 1 and Old - School Thank this.

Thanks Bear, Of course your right. Today we have been practicing on all of our backing moves. We'll be at it again all day tomorrow too. We all have them down now we just have to practice them. Double clutching is comming along as well. At least it doesn't sound like the transmission is comming out while we're driving around. :biggrin_25519: I think we're going on a road trip locally on Friday. It will give us a chance to drive while hauling a trailer. Stay safe.
