Which is the better start-up company between Roehl and Schneider?
Reason I am asking between those two is they both work with the VA which allows military vets like myself to get our GI Bill payments (Over $1100,00 a month)..
Thanks!!![]()

Schneider has a tanker division; something to consider. That will set you up for the better paying jobs in the future with many tanker companies drivers making over $60K per year.
-
Thanks, Chinatown.. I will check that out. I am from Indianapolis though..
-
I think both are good to go companies, so look at which one offers you the best options for you and family. Home time, terminals, pay whatever you need.
-
Schneider looks good for the options I am wanting, but their equipment looks really beat up. I know as a new driver you get whatever is available, but to have crappy equipment is another thing..
-
I do see Schneider has regional tanker positions and OTR tanker positions available out of Indianapolis..
-
Schneider seems to put more effort in training drivers to be safety conscious
-
Try for that! I hauled hazmat/tanker and sometimes made acid deliveries to Indy. Worked 11 months a year and made avg. $65K. Took the other month to goof off in the Orient. -
I am going to look into it!! Right now I am in Afghanistan and my contract ends in April.. I plan on going to Road Master in Indy to get my CDL (letting Uncle Sam pay for it) then hopefully go to Schneider which is in Indy as well for their training!!
Since I have until April, I can do a lot of studying and researching for the position.. -
I started this thread on my experience with the training at Schneider Bulk. Give it a read if you want.
