business license in MS (long beach area) - 250 or there abouts
your DOT number is about 300
your OP-1 form and boc-3 form
trucking software - 700-3000+ depending on what you are willing to spend
YOU WILL NEED TO GET BONDED --- I have a few bond place that do freight brokering -- can cost anywhere from 1000-1500 for 10k bond --- (it will be higher if you want a higher bond amount
if you choose a training program --- 700 to 3500

i have been taking logistics through MIT open course ware and it is giving me a better understanding about logistics. it WILL NOT give specific information about brokering, but if you are new to trucking at all... not a bad idea --- cost FREE

also, read read read read and search search search search. I have spent literally weeks on the internet now researching things.
