well no change. the shop went through it and said everything was working great on the bench. i brought it to him without the solenoid since it was leaking and had to be returned. so he had to charge for a new one and for testing it. 300 bucks later and no difference he was thinking it could be worn injectors ♂️

truck guage has always read low oil pressure since i bought it. reved up will get to around 40...but the truck warmed up normal and running it only shows about 7 to 10 psi. lol always been like that
im wondering if maybe the injectors are losing prime? i just find it weird NONE of this happened before losing my keys and trying a few ignition switches before having keys made...and the coolant flush... -
Wait so you changed ignition switches and that's when this issue started? Go back and check the wiring at the switch. 9/10 times when you change something and stuff stops working, the issue is related to what was messed with.

well technically no lol. i lost my keys somehow over the weekend. i couldnt get a hold of the locksmith, so i decided to swap the ignition switch..they are too easy on this truck. i swapped in 3, and none of them would start the truck. crank and crank, but not start. thats when i just waited til the locksmith had time and made me new keys for my original ignition switch. and it still does the same thing.. i searched and searched for ignition fuses a d only found the 2 by the starter and ecm...

But it worked 100% fine up until that point? I'd recheck the wiring. Make sure its all connected. Give each wire a gentle tug at the terminals. Most wires will withstand a 10 lb tug test. If they don't, the wire was broken inside the insulation and not making good contact.

yup everything was completely fine before that

That’s hopefully just a bad gauge. If the ecm reads that psi it should shut off. If you can get a scanner hooked up and watch the psi when cranking, then you can eliminate that possibility.

thats actually the second guage. i was told a few years ago there is not definite number for oil pressure...that these trucks read "normal" all.over the place
-
I haven't seen a truck that has had that parameter enabled. I have only ever seen it enabled on stationary equipment like gensets, since there's never an operator around to monitor it.

well from what ive heard these motors do shut down with low oil pressure. but either tats not the case or my ecm isnt reading it low i doubt it tho...been 5 years no issues with those oil psi numbers
