in trucking i dont think that you can really write great plan because its hard to predict how are you exactly going to do things ..things change so mucH AND you learn as you go.

Good Lord. I bailed out of trucking after 41 freaking yrs and as an O/O. If they want to buy a truck an trailer so be it but having no experience is like being on the titanic with no life vest.. No sense beating these people to death for asking a question comeon guys!! Not all Brokers are blood suckers and you can ask my Bro Rollin Coal and he knows who im talking bout cause BBB is not blood sucker. If i were them i would Wait and see what happens out here with CSA and all the other BS going on. Freight Rates go UP and Down in all Areas during certin times. $1.62 aint gonna do squat unless its getting you home for the weekend. Want my advise buy the truck and put a wet kit on it and haul gravel and be home every nite and ssr/ifta it for a couple of states surrounding your home state. get your feet wet first dont dive into a shark pool with a cut hand cause you will get ate up and spit out fast. Good luck RW

Thanks for few good replies. I do have some business background and have relatives and friends who are in trucking. If you got info great. If you think this is not the line of work to get into give me the reasons, pitfalls and ##### to watch out for. If you can give me a business with little risk, work and huge returns i'll entertain your thoughts (everything but drving an ice cream truck) but i don't want to hear who has how many friends

Located in northeast by Philly. Yeah i hear ya, reading up on PSP and screening drivers now. No one lined up but have few options, trying to see if we will be able to offer better pay/equipment than the large corps without going into red to make it worth it for the good driver
