Good luck to you. Chibob is right, get the endorsements out of the way so they will appear on your CDL. Also if you get tired of reading the CDL book, there are a couple of apps I used in school that make it more bearable.

EASY CDL is the best one and HAZMAT is good too. They are both produced by the app developer "Study by App". They have stuff to read but highlight the important parts of the CDL book. The best part are the practice tests which keep track of your scores so you can see if you would pass the test which helps you find your weak subjects. Think they cost a couple of buck but worth it.

I will definitely use that for HazMat. I have all the other endorsements except passenger, I really don't think I want to do passenger, ever. And yes, anybody working towards their CDL and endorsement will benefit for study aids. Thanks.

Thank you. I think I mentioned I have already hit some open streets and the IH35 access road. Today we work parallel parking, I did pretty darn good!! Its confidence building. You have to have that to get behind the wheel of 80,000 lbs. Of course we are empty in our training. Enjoy the driving and we will stay safe!!!

Yes!! Passed the driving test and then took HazMat and passed. Filled out the forms for background check and took prints and pictures.
I now posses a Class A CDL with X endorsement (providing the background check works out and I know it will because I already pass for access to Federal Prisons, where I did some construction work). The system works. One of the students I was concerned about, failed to pass the driving test. He needs much more training to be competent and confident behind the wheel.
