    MEH64,

Just grin and bear it. That's just part of the learnin process when you start out. Don't worry too much about it ok? We've all ben there at one time or another. Once you get going, you'll pick up on the slang quick enough. Trust me...

    Two questions:

    1) Does Knight require Haz-mat?

    2) Would they work with you if you don't fingerprint freight?

They don't require hazmat but you can get more loads out of places that you sit a lot with out one. Unloads it would depend on where you go I guess. I only unloaded one load of tires in Amarillo because labor ready never showed up. They used to be non forced dispatch when I was there. Why are you looking at them?

Thanks for replying Dozzer. So basically except for once in a blue moon they are a no touch freight company? I am looking at them because I want to find a company with a terminal around Tampa FL and was looking at Lessors but read so many bad reviews I think I'll pass. Also I like the fact Knight has a lot of terminals. What is their pay scale for new and experienced drivers? What can I expect as far as weekly miles go?

Take a look at Heyl as well if you will be living near Tampa. I worked for Knight dry out of Lakeland and I did OK there.

Heyl runs a lot of Canada, right? I don't do Canada. You mean they didn't give many miles or what?

Heyl does not require Canada. They have Canadian drivers and a terminal in Calgary. Not sure what your miles questions is about.
