I recently graduated CDL school and have my double/triples, tanker, hazmat, and TWIC. I’m trying to find a good starting company that’ll provide proper training with decent home time. I’m located in central Florida. I’ve been looking at Swift and Werner mostly, I wanted to go with Schneider but they are not hiring in my area. Roehl was on the list as well until I read some negative reviews regarding the driver facing cameras. Any and all company recommendations would extremely help!

Of the two you mentioned, Swift is probably the better. I've never heard many people go on to better things from Werner. I'm struggling to remember one, in fact.

    Swift Refrigerated, not dry van.
Florida is a good state for refrigerated trucking.

Pretty sure all the starting companies have driver facing cameras these days
If I had my training to do over, I would probably start with a flatbed complany

Forget Schneider, the pay is too low.

Orlando/Kissimmee area. I’d like to be home weekly if possible on a dedicated or regional (southeast) account. Swift currently offered me 10-14 days on 2-3 days off. $700 during training period which last 3-6 weeks then $1300 a week to run all states east of the Mississippi River.

Premier Refrigerated Transport runs out of Zellwood.
Does hire from select cdl schools. Might be a waiting list to get on there, but worth the wait.
