He's a company driver for Walmart. But he has a 2000 Kenworth w900L, Cat 3406e, 13 speed, 70" sleeper. A lot of other stuff like custom lights. He never ran it as an O/O, he bought it awhile back and restored it. I asked him about buying it from him. He said he may let me when he retires. Cuz he wants to buy another truck to do a project on.

That's awesome man so at least you will be set up for o/o when the time is right I want to explore that option as well mainly because I have a wife and 2 kids so I feel like I would be able to see them or let them come with me on short runs to spend some time with them cause I know as a company driver I will stay out as much as possible

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

Welcome aboard to Roehl. It is a good company to get started with. Not to burst your bubble on ownership but let me make sure I heard you right. You are 21, just fresh out of school, no driving experience or previous business experience, no financial backing for down times, haven't worked enough or purchased enough over time to develop good credit scores and you are expecting to get a lease and start out as an O/O? Sorry but I highly doubt with today's economy you will be able to get a lease without a co-signer. Even a co-signer will have to have good financial backing. A small piece of advice. If you want to learn the ropes of ownership start first with Roehl's walk away lease program. You will need 6 months with Roehl before you are able to enter the program. Learn all you can. If you don't make it as a O/O then you are not sitting on a lease/loan. Then after a few years of experience try for lease outside of Roehl. Only reason why I have a lease on a truck outside of Roehl is because I'm 2.7 times years older than you, previous business experience that has allowed me to develop excellent credit scores, have financial backing and have been driving a few years. Don't give up your dream to be an O/O but start out on the right foot.

    Thanks for the advice.

I definitely didn't mean for it to sound as if I'll be an O/O right at the start. I plan on buying my own truck and becoming an O/O after a few years of experience. I wanna get to know this business and make sure I'm completely happy with this lifestyle before I make a leap that big.

When they ask you if you have any question ask them what time Trick or Treating starts.

Haha, well I got bad news. I took my physical today. Don't worry, everything with that was fine. Although the 10-31-11 class is full, so I'll probably be in the November 7th class. Hopefully, cuz tomorrow is my last day at the Sheriff's Office lol.

I'm waiting on a call from Roehl letting me know when they get my DOT Physical results. Only bad thing on it was my blood pressure is a little high. it was 134/85.
