Last insurance quote I got for a 2016 Cascadia was $2300 down $1200/ month. For a 2005 Columbia was $9600/ yr. Your insurance depends on you experience, driving history, credit and year of the truck

if you don't mind me asking, what kind of money and shift/hours do you work pulling containers out of the nj ports?

7seriestv Thanks this.

6-7am start until finish. Usually around 4-6pm. No weekends at this company
I work for a small mom and pop company where they watch and control EVERYThing. No 1.5 after 40. All straight time. There are companies that pay decent hourly money with 1.5 after 40/45/50/55. It all varies.Last edited: Oct 20, 2016

i live a few minutes from the port. do you know of any good companies in the area? those hours are exactly what i'm looking for.

Companies in your area go to Google type in loadmatch dot com new jersey

Depends, do they want lease operators or true Owner Operators? I know guys that are L/O's that only carry bobtail nothing more and use the company for everything else. I know O/O's that have everything, including own authority that use the company only in the role of a broker. -

did you open the company???
