Welcome back to trucking! I like Indeed.com for job searching. And even when not necessarily looking for a job I like to keep tabs on who is hiring in my area thru their email alerts. Good luck!

So after replying on here I went through a bunch of post to do some reading. The biggest thing I find that is a huge change is the issue of cameras in the trucks. Now I worked in the security and legal field for major retailers, a PI firm and even did work at the state level. About 8-9 years ago the state of NY came through major companies and wanted to see where the security cameras were placed in accordance with workers and their right to privacy. Cameras could be placed on the workers as they were working but it is illegal for cameras to be recording any area of a workers private spaces especially any area that a worker may sleep or change clothing in.
So guess my question with the cameras is are they only pointed at the driver area and the driver door or does it show the entire cab and sleeper areas? -
My experience with Sentinel was the camera was pointed at the driver's area. But it only recorded if there was an "event" i.e. hard brake, bump on the road, violent contact, sudden stop... getting hooked up to a loaded tanker too harshly would always turn the camera on. After five years I got used to talking to it, explaining what had just occurred. "Just a hook up, camera"...
