You want to know the real reason why most guys in food service are in there 40's? Its because those guys have a family so they say f my life and sacrafice it for them.
Guys in their 20s split because trust me, yes you can make 100k but literally any other way of making 100k is easier than doing food service so these guys split. Young guys dont have mouths to feed so they realize its not worth it.
-coming from a guy in my 30s who is currently and have spent half a decade in food service.
For what its worth good luck
Starting at Mclane on Monday!!!

If you go out with another guy at first and he's loading the two wheelers for you too run, just after you huff it back up the stairs from the basement after bouncing 8 boxes of Coke down them, and you find a wheeler full of flour stacked flat to the top, you'll know he's trying to kill you.
-
Ok, back when i was doing food service, I would always pack up the wheelers for the new trainees and I never really packed them high or hard cuz I knew they were new and I was new once too.
doesn't matter. they still think you are trying to kill them.
Just takes time to get into "food" shape. And learn the techniques for working a wheeler.
I help out at my church where we distribute food and it comes on a truck (couple pallets, no big deal), so I usually stack up the wheelers for the 20 year olds to run in. They don't like me much. I have to tell them I'm twice as old as them and I would pack it much higher and heavier if I thought they could handle it.Mike2633 Thanks this. -

One day I came out of the restaurant to see my 16ft aluminum ramp gone and 4 guys running up the street with it.
