Good deal guys. I worked for Nabors at the Kenedy yard hauling water. It was a great job and great company. I actually made more most weeks working for them hauling water than I have working at other companies hauling crude. If they need drivers in Big Lake, that's a good sign, meaning you'll be making big $$$. Enjoy it!

There's a reason why Big Lake is always hiring, they have a huge turn around with their drivers.I work out of the Nabors Iraan yard.I use to go to Big Lake all the time because they couldn't keep drivers. 70% of time when I go to a job site there wasn't nothing to do,because the job was finish.Bad dispatch at Big Lake. Big Lake,Ozona,Sonora,Crane and Iraan has all have huge turn arounds.Big Lake got bad Dispatch,Ozona has bad truck supervisors they try to make driver drive illegal,Sonora has really bad yard supervisor,Crane not sure why,Iraan has a good yard supervisor name Troy Sparks but it's in the middle of no where and after 3 months of free living in their travel trailers you have to find your on place. But there's a lot of places for a trailer in Iraan and Sheffield,it's hard to find a house to rent and if you do it's over price and most of the time it's junk. After my free months in housing I did live in at a old motel in Sheffield it had 2 rooms with a kitchen, for $600 a month. Some people are buying a house out there which I think it's crazy because when the boom is over there's no jobs out there. It happen in back in 08 and a lot of people went over their heads and lost it all.I stop working there in 2012 and there's only 3 drivers left that work out of the Iraan yard that I work with out of 20 drivers they post to have. Nabors is a good place to start in the oilfield. If you like hilly and mountain driving,Iraan is the place to drive.:biggrin_25513:Just remember to do your JSA for every job and block your wheels and put your cones out everytime you stop and get out of your truck.:yes2557:

C&J Energy Services Inc. (CJES) agreed to acquire the hydraulic fracturing business of Nabors Industries Ltd. (NBR) for $2.86 billion in cash and stock, becoming the latest U.S. company to seek an offshore address to lower taxes.
Nabors, based in Hamilton, Bermuda, will receive 62.5 million C&J shares and $940 million in cash, Houston-based C&J said yesterday in a statement. The new company, to be known as C&J Energy Services Ltd., will be incorporated in Bermuda and run from its current offices in Houston.

We do paperwork tomorrow and start orientation on Tuesday! We just got back last night from doing a week of NOTHING in Honduras. It was amazing, but we are ready to get to work. We will definitely keep everyone updated!

Anyone know who Nabors is hauling production water for in the Plentywood MT area? I hear they are looking for drivers and claim to be really busy.

Last week we went to orientation in San Angelo. Basically it was a week long safety class. We go back today and Monday morning start a six day class for Truck School. We will end next Saturday and then then that following Monday we will be assigned a mentor and start actual work!

Those instructors are a good group of guys. The class is pretty easy as long as you have driving experience. Be ready to crawl under that truck from front to back as they want you to master the pre trip. They will give you a script on what to point out on your pre trip, and expect you to know it. They have an obstacle course which is mainly backing maneuvers. Straight back, 45 degree alley dock, parallel park, and right hand turns(going forward. .lol) pretty easy if experienced. I had trouble but got through it. They say if you can't do the maneuvers on test day, there's a good chance, you won't have a job after. I know you and your husband are experieced so shouldn't be a problem.
