I was wondering that my self. I did put my birthday in to the user profile but I didn't see my age listed anywhere. Anyway I'm 32.

BTW: I still can edit my original post, it's saying "Your content can not be submitted. This is likely because your content is spam-like or contains inappropriate elements. Please change your content or try again later. If you still have problems, please contact an administrator."

Your age is ok; the reason I asked is because there are minimum age requirements for some companies, but there are no maximum age requirements.
Take some time after classes and do some applications. You'll get lots of job offers. Don't let the school choose for you.

They refused to teach us to slide tandems or even why one would do so, when I was in school to get my cdl.

They told us we can slide the tandems to equalize the weight distribution of the load but we never did it. We did run through drop and hooks a couple times because one of the trucks we were using was needed at the mechanic's.

I did get a chance to try to hook at one point because I noticed the locking jaws and handle were not in place properly when we pretrip'd the truck. I tried everything a logical mind could think of then the instructor tried the exact same things (So apparently I wasn't missing anything there). Turns out the return spring that snaps the jaws closed had busted and no amount of ramming into the king pin or pushing on the handle was going to get them to move.

That one incident has gotten me in the habit of paying particular attention to both the release handle and the jaws themselves before I start moving from anywhere.

    RedRover Thanks this.
