Nah I don't think I know trucker guru though he can pay for my class too if he'd like ha. The class stuff I'm not overly fond of but it's part of it I reckon. Did they have recruiters come in and talk you guys?

Ha, he can pay for mines as well. The class room is very boring just a bunch slide shows and videos. Recruiters mostly come during the week. Some pop in and some scheduled. Talk with the instructor to see when they are scheduled to come in.

Good news! I got paper in hand saying I passed the state test. I am waiting for my HAZMAT back ground information to come so I can take the HAZMAT test. Once I have passed that I will then get my class A license so I only have to pay for it one time.
I got my TWIC ID card yesterday so thinking any day for the HAZMAT stuff.

My ally dock was off just a little bit but the inspector said it was good for him. On the road I was not happy how I did, missed a few gears as I have not driven that truck before and got 2 curbs on 2 tight turns but the inspector said I passed when we pulled back in the yard.
I could not thank him enough.

The person that went before me it was his 3rd time and passed but the guy just after me failed a 2nd time. I have seen the guy that failed do everything many times guess he is one of them that chokes on tests?

I sat down with career services after testing and they sent out my resume for 2 class B jobs (job is a job at this point have not work since first of the year) and told me of a class A fill driver job to do on line. I also want to check with a local waste hauler to see if they have a class A job open and also check with 2 LTL co.'s. Also have to reach out to an oil Co. as I heard they were looking for a driver again class B but I get to use my tanker endorsement.
So far it is looking pretty good job wise now that I have license in hand.

Last few weeks have been a blur with my test, selling our house in all I forget are you still in class or did you get your class A and if not when is your test date?

Dave congrats man!!! Last week was initially my last weekend but since I test Monday morning 12/8 they asked that I come in just to stay fresh for my test. But I also have 20 hrs of class room time to make up for a weekend that I missed... so next weekend is my last 2 days... again congrats on everything. The hard part is done. It's going to be easy to find a job.

Someone once told me "Good luck on your test Monday. Stay relax and let me know how It goes." You do the same.

I wanted to get out on the road one more time this week before the test but that did not happen and truth don't know if it would of helped. Now a week of driving might of been the ticket LOL. At least I was able to get some time in doing maneuvers before testing but I find if I do to many of them I do worst so only did 2 of them.

One of my class mates test Monday also. Going to show up to give support and the school gives out ball caps "One and Done" when you pass the test on the first try I have to have the teachers/trainers sign.
I don't have time to make up but because I tested before my grad date (12/19/14) they say I should put in a little more time to get my certificate.

Again good luck on test day, relax and take your time as rushing can pushing to make a mistake.
